Jin believes that human beings have different potentials inside and an individual is a combination of these potentials. She depicts these potentials by oil paints as the main media that is because the process of doing oil painting is able to bring her the sense of stability, which was lacking when she was a patient with Epilepsy. She started exploring mixed media when MFA studying in London. Combining her paintings with other materials became a symbol of her works.
Jin loves travelling and nature. She was back to Taiwan during the Pandemic in 2020. When travelled around the island she suddenly strongly felt that this year for the human being is a year of rest and a year of release for all animals, because humans are not allowed to go out. You'll find more animals trying to walk into the city or town and fewer people everywhere. Since then, she got some ideas to discuss this situation and stood on the side of the animals and that is what she is working for. Humans, as a member of nature, should learn to understand what other animals need and keep safe spaces with each other as we're doing now.
